Freedom Health & Wellness Charities
Freedom Health & Wellness actively support the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association of Tasmania.
MND is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells - neurones – controlling the muscles that enable us to move around, speak, breathe and swallow, fail to work normally. With no nerves to activate them, muscles gradually weaken and waste. The patterns of weakness vary from person to person.
In the majority of cases the intellect and memory are not affected, nor are senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch.
At present there is no cure, but co-ordinated research is being carried out across the world and encouraging progress is being made.
Stacey's very close friend Jackie Chugg suffers from MND, so it is very close to home.

All money raised from this event was handed over directly to Jackie and Shane Chugg to assist with the purchase of some computer software called Grid 3 which will assist Jackie to communicate via the computer mounted on her wheelchair. Our fundraising efforts were amazing and we handed over $2,500!!
